This site collects almost nothing. Here is the almost.

A product whose pitch is that your footage never leaves the building cannot leak its visitors. This page states what that means in practice, and it is short because there is little to state.

Who operates this site

Octosec, the maker of the recorder this site describes. The legal entity is being settled and will be named here, with a postal address, when it is. Until then, the working contact for anything on this page is contact@octosec.co.

What is collected, and when

The contact form. If you write to us: your name, your email address, your message, and the audience option you picked. Sent because you pressed Send, used to answer you, and for nothing else.

Ordinary web logs. The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes requests (IP address, requested page) to deliver and protect the site, including the rate limit on the contact endpoint. We run no analytics on top of it.

Nothing else. No cookies. No analytics. No trackers, tag managers, embedded players or third-party scripts of any kind — the site's security policy refuses them at the browser level, so this is enforced, not promised. The only thing stored in your browser is your own theme choice, if you make one, and it never leaves your browser.

Where it goes

A form submission becomes one email, delivered by Cloudflare's email service to our own inbox. It is not sold, shared, enriched, or given to anyone. Cloudflare acts as our service provider for hosting and that delivery; no other processor is involved.

How long it is kept

Until your enquiry is dealt with and for as long as the correspondence stays useful to both sides. Ask and it is deleted.

Your rights

Write to contact@octosec.co to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. That covers the rights the GDPR gives EU residents and the rights California law gives its residents; since we sell no personal information and share none, there is nothing to opt out of. We answer these ourselves — the people who run the inbox are the people who wrote the system.

Children, and changes

The site is not directed at children and we knowingly collect nothing from them. If this page changes, the change ships like any other — visible in the page itself, not buried in a changelog you cannot see.
